Good atmosphere & staff. Kebab was excellent, ribs were flavorful but seemed warmed over. Burger was solid.

Excellent service from Michelle and great fresh food. I had the chicken fried steak with a salad and JB had smokehouse Burger. Recommend both. Close to i75 worth the visit

Stopped here for lunch on a trip down to Florida (again, thanks Yelp!). It's fine, maybe even good for the area. Felt kind of like any mid range chain (R Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, et all ) Though they give you roasted peanuts to snack on, which is a nice bonus I guess. I had a side Caesar, which was overpriced at $4.00. Small bowl of chili that was good but was more like a sloppy Joe - all meat. Some would like that I imagine. Fresh veggies were good. Sweet cinnamon butter with the bread was nice and went well on the carrots. Bill was $31.40 for 2 people. I main dish. 2 apps and a side plus a GIANTt coke (as my friend cassie would call it ' the bed wetter special!' )

This is the low end of chain steakhouses. The BBQ is mediocre, the ribs barely passable. Even the free peanuts on the table were small and over roasted. It really wasn't worth the cost.

Service was some of the best I've had.. Stopped in for lunch. Had a chicken mushroom sandwich and was very good. Quick service and very friendly staff !

This is hands down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My grandfather (who I am visiting here for the first time in 10 years) has a hard time walking. We got him in the car but had a hard time getting him out. This was our first dinner together in 10 years! The staff did everything they could to help us enjoy our meal. They brought out a chair and (carried him on the chair!), in to our table and again back to our car. I couldn't believe how sweet they were and accommodating. On top of that the food was quick and delicious, the waitress was the sweetest and she even offered us rolls on the way out! I couldn't even believe it. I would eat here every night of our trip if we could! AWESOME!!

Great service...we had a very large party of people. They were very patient with us! Food was GREAT! Ribs that fall off the bone! Delicious!!! Very crowded but service was right on spot.

The good: We all got sirloin steaks. Excellent quality cuts and perfectly prepared. Mashed potatoes are amazing. Green beans too. The bad: they somehow managed to "forget" us and we finally asked 15 min over our half hour expected wait time for 3. They put us in a booth which is awkward since I use a wheelchair. It was also very hard to navigate in general because they had walkways blocked. To top it off our waitress seemed pretty annoyed with us, I guess because of my chair being in the way. I get it, you'd rather not work on New Year's Eve, but no reason to take it out on us. But whatever - predictably good food from Texas Road House! Just not best service I've gotten at one. But we did get a discount from the RV park to go there which was cool. Check with your hotel if you are staying close!

Super friendly place! Waitress was superb and food was overall excellent. We had a problem with one over cooked steak but the manager quickly brought another that was perfectly cooked. (this is why I didn't give a full five stars) Everything else we ate was tasty and cooked well. I love dining at places that treats travelers like locals. We will come again!

We were there tonight celebrating a family birthday. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Jessica, was fabulous. She was so patient and very responsive to everything we asked.

Steak kabob was OK. Rice was way too salty. Salad mediocre. Service a little slow.

They probably are the best steak in town and everything else I have had from here has been very good. Also I really like that they have peanuts on almost every table. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it is pretty dirty inside the restaurant.

The CRAPPIEST service that I have ever received! It's pretty sad when the waitress forgets to put half of your order in. And my steak was not cooked right. And we were sat with another family, how ridiculous!

My husband and I went here on New Year Day 2015 and we enjoyed the: service, atmosphere, various food selections, clean restroom, and tasty food. My husband ordered the boneless chicken wings, very well seasoned and good quantity. I ordered the full slab of "Fall Off The Bone" ribs, which was very tasty, but had a lil too much fat on it. The steak fries were nicely thick, just a lil too salty. The house salad was delicious and the lettuce was well cleaned. The Peace Ice Tea was delicious too! We will definitely return!

In a small town that struggles with a limited labor pool, this is probably the best restaurant in town. They consistently deliver good food, great service, and food comes quickly (which, is the typical experience at some other steakhouses in town).

Best steak house in lake city. If you want a steak come here. They have great complimentary bread rolls and peanuts. Their chicken critters are really good too if your feeling like a cheaper meal

I've heard so many horror stories about this Texas Roadhouse in particular, and I'd have to disagree with most of them. I've never had bad food here, in fact, I've had consistently good food here, and have been coming back for years. Texas Roadhouse offers one of the best steaks in LC and some of their other entrees or salads are pretty good too. This place gets very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. There is almost always a large lunch crowd here. This is by far, my favorite place to throw peanut shells on the floor.

Our server KACI was extremely awesome! She went above and beyond taking care of our large party of FOURTEEN!! She kept our drinks full and checked on us regularly. The rest of the staff also did a great job bringing my mom-in-law's birthday cake out to her and singing so enthusiastically. Kaci even came outside with us and took photos from THREE different cameras to indulge our family with precious memories of my mom-in-law's 70th birthday. I don't know if her boss appreciates her, but he/she should! You don't find employees like her everyday. (She deserves a raise)

This place is my favorite place for steak, I am on the road a lot and I never go to any other steak house. I have never had a bad steak in probably 50 visits. Last night the waitress Ashley was fantastic. The place was busy and she made us feel we were the only people there. The beer on tap was ice cold. Keep up the good work!

Why did I come here when there is a place in town with the same style food except 10 times better (Porterhouse)? Oh, I remember. It's because my daughter wanted to and that made it worth it.

The place is packed and I thought for sure we would have to wait at least 40 minutes. It was less than 10 which was nice. Since this was out first visit the manager brought us some ribs to try! That was very nice and also very tasty. My daughter ordered prime rib but unfortunately they ran out. A little disappointed. I ordered the rib sppetizer with a side of corn it comes with French fries too so it's a good size meal. The waitress is great. Perky friendly & attentive.

Server came to table quickly but was very, very busy. Server was still attentive but stretched thin due to being very busy. A little slow in catching up to our order/request but always came through with fulfilling our request. Steaks were perfectly cooked and tender. Onion blossom was crisp not greasy and hot when it arrived. The margaritas were outstanding. This place seems to get better each time we go. Highly recommend but use the call ahead seating if you don't want an extended wait when you get there.

We had dinner there on Sunday evening, Nov 9, 2014. The parking lot was full but we were greeted, seated and served promptly and cheerfully. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient . Upon finding out that we were "first timers" at Texas Roadhouse, we were brought a sample of their barbeque ribs. They were delicious. We both ordered the six ounce sirloin with baked potato and salad. This was a very good value for $10 each. We enjoyed some "free" peanuts and the fresh out of the oven, hot, sweet yeast rolls that they are known for. The steaks were cooked as ordered and the baked potatoes and salad were fine. I enjoyed an ice cold Bud Lite that was on special that night (slightly over $2 for 23 ounces). We got a 10% discount for showing them our hotel key from the nearby Comfort Suites. I do agree that the place looked like it could use a good, thorough cleaning as some other reviewers have pointed out.

My husband and I stopped in Friday night (1/9/15) from a long drive back home. We were very impressed! There was a wait so we sat at the bar. atmosphere and food was great! Of course we had steaks! A++ The service was awesome! Good laughs with the bartenders which made our day after a day full of driving! I definitely recommend this place!

We usually have a Sunday brunch here. The food is good and exactly what we ordered, the staff is friendly and seems to like their job. They didn't dry out my burger, which is always appreciated. This is one of those go-there-because-you-know-what-you're-getting type places. Lots of peanuts - everywhere - (for those with allergies).

My husband and I were traveling from Atlanta to Orlando on vacation and stopped in for dinner on Sunday, October 6th around 5:30pm. We had originally stopped at Sonny's BBQ down the road and sat at the table for 15 minutes and did not receive any service so we left and headed to Texas Roadhouse. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and immediately taken to a table. A server was at the table to get a drink order very quickly. The food was delicious and we even got a good laugh at the couple sitting next to us that brought their own paper bags to load up on the peanuts and rolls that was on their table....guess they were going to save them for later! Maybe the "servers" from Sonny's BBQ could take a trip down to Texas Roadhouse and let the servers there show them how its done!

We stopped here to take my 92-year old grandfather to lunch while we were in town recently. This little town has so very little to offer in the way of dining out. All casual chains. The big news is that an Olive Garden is coming soon, the Walmart is god, and not everyone understands Starbucks, so Lake City is a few years behind the times. That being said, the server was a perky, smiling cheerleader type who seemed to like her job. Bless her soul, because many of the other patrons that day just looked miserable for the entirety of their meals. The food was predictable, but for a corporate place, that is to be expected. I some kind of crispy chicken salad (I actually think it was called the Chicken Critters salad - horrors!), but the lettuce was green, the tomatoes were red, so I wasn't going to be much more picky. They had Yuengling on tap, so we got my grandpa one and that's all it took to make him happy.

It will not blow you away with how amazing the food is, but the food was good and just like all other Texas Roadhouse's I've been to. Chain restaurants should strive for quality consistency, so I was pleased. I had a very yummy mixed drink, and my burger was spot on good. The table enjoyed the fried pickles, and even on a busy night, our server did well. All meals were delicious enough, service good, so I'm sure I'll be going back at some point! FYI, there are not many good restaurants in Lake City to choose from, so even on a weekday night this place will be packed. Our wait on a Thursday was only 10min, so not bad at all.

This place is dirty with a capital "D". We stopped on our way to south FL. They need to close this place for a day and give it a good scrub. You can see a good layer of dirt/grease on the whole place. The walls, wood and floors are sticky and grimy. The bathroom was just plain scary. The stall doors are smeary with yuck. The bathroom was well stocked, so it is not like it is unattended. Obviously the manager has a tolerance for dirtiness that is very high. This restaurant looks like it hasn't had a bath since it opened! The Texas Roadhouse where we live is 100 times more clean than this.

I almost didn't eat here because of the reviews I saw on Yelp! but six or seven people I've been working with raved so I tried it, again I'm glad I did. I will agree that the floors seemed a little sticky but fly paper it wasn't, and nothing else seemed dirty or greasy at all. I started with a Margarita with a kicker. A kicker is a test tube of tequila, now that made me think, are their Margaritas under strength and this is a way of boosting the price of the drink? I'm guessing yes since I had two and I'm typing this. I followed this up with a bowl of chili...no, a bowl of excellent chili. I almost had another bowl for desert. The main course was a ribeye steak done rare with BBQ ribs. The ribs were excellent, the meat slid right off the bone. The steak was tasty and tender and when I asked for rare and it came red it also came perfect, rare means as red as possible. My selected sides were a baked potato and corn. If I have a complaint it's more on me than them, I thought it would be corn on the cob but it was kernels in a bowl. Before the food arrived they placed two tin buckets on the table, one with peanuts and one for the shells, I like peanuts! On the way out I saw that here are four Texas Roadhouses in NJ, I will make a point of checking them out.

I normally don't write reviews but this meal caused me to want to warn others not to waste their money. The fried pickles had a shaker of salt poured over them in the kitchen. The rare prime rib I ordered turned out to be an end cut flipped over so it just looked well done.. Need I say more.

October 2012: Let me say that this was the worst experience I have had here. I moved out of town and when I come to visit I typically will come to roadhouse, but that will be something to reconsider in the future. Mainly it was the customer service. The hostesses were friendly and greeted us but our waitress was not up to par at all. We had to ask for refills, she was not friendly and seemed bothered. I wanted to ask her for something but her and 5 other people were hanging out talking and I couldn't get service. Hopefully this was just a fluke and the service is not typically like this.

Not the atmosphere I was looking for but the food was very good. I noted that others felt the staff was not "up to par" but our experience was very good. We were seated promptly and the waitress was fast & friendly. I just am more used to having my on table or booth and not being seated at a table with benches and room for 15 per side.

Jen was our waitress. She was very nice. I could not find anything to eat as i do not eat a lot of meat. She asked the kitchen staff to grill some vegetable skewers just for me. That is very sweet. The complimentary bread was little bit on the dry side, Husband loved his barbecue grilled chicken. Kids loved their fried chicken, cheese hamburgers and fries. Did i already mention our very attentive Jen.......?? We continued our commute back home happy with kids sleeping happily after a good meal!
